Embed Buzzsprout Player on WordPress.com

    Any way to do this. It doesn’t seem to work

    Hi there,

    Based on Buzzsprout’s instructions at https://www.buzzsprout.com/help/15-find-embed-code, they only offer JavaScript embeds, and those are not supported on WordPress.com for security reasons – embed code like that can be modified and used to inject malware into a site, and because WordPress.com sites share their core files that could lead to multiple sites going down at once.

    For their podcasts to be embeddable on WordPress.com, they’ll need to offer an oEmbed option first, where you can embed content using only a link, the way Youtube and Spotify embeds work (to mention just two of the most popular ones).

    I see Buzzsprout also offers a WordPress plugin to easily insert podcasts into post, but you’d need to be on our Business Plan to use that.
