Editing number of posts per page (Parament theme)
-
Today I was testing out some new themes for my blog/site, then I was told that the theme I was using (Mystique) has been retired and I can’t go back to it. Fine. So I’ve activated a new theme, Parament. Originally I had customized the Mystique theme to only display 5 posts per page instead of the usual 10 (My ultimate goal is to transform this blog into a full website and I’d rather not keep the bloggish look); I’ve tried the usual method (Settings>Reading>edit the number of posts per page, click save), but it doesn’t seem to be working here. Is this a quirk with the Parament theme, or am I doing something wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go to http://twinsanity.co/wp-admin/options-reading.php
Blog pages show at most __ posts.
“save changes” -
That’s the way I’ve been trying; it isn’t working. There are still 10 posts per page instead of 5. Furthermore, now my Recent Posts column is gone.

Did you do any CSS editing on the theme you used previously?
If I switch themes, will my fonts and CSS carry over to the new theme?
Fonts will carry over, but CSS will not. CSS is theme-specific and CSS written for one theme will most likely not make sense to use with another theme. You can always access CSS you saved in the past via the CSS Revisions link at the top right of the Customize → CSS panel.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questionsDid you use the theme customizer when you changed themes?

Not that I know of. If I made any changes in the CSS panel, it was unintentional. I’ve never touched CSS because I didn’t know what it was or what it does. I don’t even see that here.

Well, just now I noticed that the address bar changes to Page 2 after scrolling down past 5 posts, so I suppose it
- is
displaying 5 posts per page, although they’re all visible on the front page, so I’m guessing this is just the way the Parament theme is laid out. Also, my brother got the Recent Posts column back.
