Easy way to change site URL?

    I’m trying to change the site URL for maggieseurotrip.wordpress.com. I had another site that allowed me to change the site URL, but this one does not give me the option. For example, when I hovered over my other site it said ‘Change URL’. However, this site does not give me an option to change the site URL. On blog forums it said you can download the config file and change it there, but I was wondering if there was any other way to do this easily? I don’t have much of a technical background, so I would appreciate detailed steps.

    Hello,

    The owner of maggieseurotrip.wordpress.com is the user, maggieb93. In order to change the blog address you will need to be logged in to that that — only the owner can make the change. You are currently logged in as maggieblackburn.

    Thanks for the feedback! I recently deleted maggieblackburn.wordpress.com, but I would like to change the URL for maggieseurotrip.wordpress.com to maggieblackburn.wordpress.com. However, it says this site is reserved. Is there a way I can change the URL tho this?

    I’m afraid not. Once a site has been deleted, it’s not possible to reuse or reassign the WordPress.com address.

    Although you are unable to change the address to maggieblackburn.wordpress.com, you could choose something similar or register a new domain:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/

    If you register a domain, you would hide the .wordpress.com part of your site address.
