downgrading from personal to free

    i’ve been using wp personal for the last three years. i would like to downgrade to the free version. what do i need to do? thanks

    Hi there!

    I can see that you’ve already canceled the WordPress.com Personal plan from your site. Your WordPress.com site is now on the free plan and uses the WordPress.com address somethingfeathered.wordpress.com. Your domain something-feathered.in has also been canceled.

    Just a note that since you canceled the domain, you risk losing it permanently, it may get more expensive to get back, and someone else may use it in the future. You should only cancel a domain if you’re sure you won’t be using it anymore. Can you tell me if that’s the case here?

    thanks for clarifying. i am not planning to use the domain name something-feathered.in anymore…

    but, somethingfeathered.wordpress.com automatically redirects to something-feathered.in and then i get the message “This domain is parked”. none of the content in the blog is visible anymore. just the above message…

    Hi there,

    It normally takes a short time before the the domain is completely disconnected from your WordPress.com subdomain. I am not seeing that message on my end when I visit the site now. Let me know if you are still seeing the parked message. I would clear your cache if you still do.
