Domain Names

    Hi!
    Well, I just tried to post a question and was asked to sign in so I did. I was told that I did not have permission to access and that I should ask the administrator of my site (I am the administrator) for permission to contribute? Anyone ever got the same? Makes you feel like someone has changed some things on your account? I did get here after going to support first.

    MY QUESTION: I have read about issues with domains when buying them from WordPress.com. Also, I see that they are about $7 more expensive per year. I have a wordpress.com site. Can I purchase a domain from a company (they use Wild West I believe) and then have it applied instead of my wordpress.com domain? I called the support for Wild West and they said that I could, through “name servers” and that there would not be a transfer cost. Really, the reason I want to do it through someone else is because I want tech support if I need it, and to get it at a lower cost on top of that only makes sense. Has anyone else done this successfully? Take Care!
