I choose ‘mappingthejourney’ as my domain name. Will ‘WordPress’ word be part of the domain? (mappingthejourney.wordpress.com) or I can change it. Please let me know.

To use existing domain name with WordPress.com you can opt for domain mapping. All you have to do is point your DNS (Domain Name Servers) to WordPress.com.
