Domain Email Forwarding not being received

I have registered a domain name [essentialspirittribe.com] for my wordpress blog and all works well as far as viewing the blog with my domain name. However, I set up an email forwarding account [details redacted] and no emails sent to the domain name emails are received in my gmail account. I have even tested it myself using several different emails that I have access to, none are received at my gmail account. I checked inbox, trash, spam, etc. Nowhere to be found. I deleted and re-created the forwarding account twice today hoping that a simple recreate would work but no luck. Is there anyone who can tell me what I am doing wrong?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com does not provide an email service for blogs on their subdomains or on custom domains. Please see these support docs:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-email/
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/

If those guides do not result in success type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. I’m sorry about the unintended duplication above. :(

Thanks for the response, timethief. I added modlook in the tags for the post, is that what you were referring to?

I understand that WordPress doesn’t provide email service for subdomains. I registered my domain and while I couldn’t set up POP/SMTP service, I could set up a standard forwarding account, so i added (email visible only to moderators and staff) -> (email visible only to moderators and staff)

I received the confirmation email and successfully confirmed for the forward to be initiated, but emails sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) don’t get delivered to (email visible only to moderators and staff) nor do they get bounced back to the sender… They are just lost somewhere out in the ether.

I added this thread to favorites and made sure that I am subscribed to receive notifications of new replies. Thanks again and I hope this post clarifies the issue a bit.

Hi @mom2matoskah, did you get a confirmation email for the forwarding when you set it up?
