    If I have a domain with wix and cancel it, then come to wordpress and buy it again, will it still work?

    Hi there,

    If you wish to keep same domain and use wordpress.com to manage your site you can go for Domain Mapping. Make your nameservers point to wordpress.com.

    We don’t recommend cancelling a domain you plan to use again in the future, as there is no guarantee you will be able to get it back again.

    If you already own a domain, you can ‘map’ it to your WordPress.com site with domain mapping:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

    You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan, such as the Personal plan. Each paid plan includes a free domain credit which can be used to map a domain you already own (or register a new one).

    Domain mapping does not include renewal, so you will need to continue renewing the domain with Wix.
