Display post date on Archive drop down menu

    Hi,

    I’ve just successfully used the Archive Shortcode to add a dropdown menu displaying all of my blog posts in date order (recent to old). To do this I added the Archive Shortcode to a text widget in my side bar: [archives format=option]

    However, in this archive dropdown menu I would also like to add the post date after the blog post title. Is this possible and how?

    I am using TwentyFifteen theme and my blog is pelorusjack.net
