So I have a movie theme for wordpress, and there is a movies category. I am trying to disable the post feature in the WordPress admin panel, so I can just have the movies category as the default feature, because I have a database of movie information that I run with a script and it posts to my site, but its posting in the posts section rather than movies, is there a way to disable the posts feature, and make my movies category the default?.
Here is an image of the menu

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is overwatchhive.wordpress.com.

You did not confirm the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you are referring to. Have you entered that URL here http://www.whoishostingthis.com/ to determine who hosts your site?

We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. We cannot provide support for sites that are not on our servers. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. That support is found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
    (3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page. That support is found at http://jetpack.com/support/

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, run different theme versions of themes with the same names, and many people get confused about the two. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

The wordpress.ORG support forums are at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/

    re: Jetpack support
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
    http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
However, if you can’t find help at either one then you can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service

Also note that for WordPress.ORG issues, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
