Deleting social media buttons on footer

Add topic to favorites
I’m trying to delete my Tumblr social media button from my footer. If anyone could help me, that would be really appreciated! I’ve clicked around everywhere on my blog settings and I can’t figure out how to delete it. Thanks!

Hi There!

Do you have a premium account? If you do, you can add custom CSS to your site. If you do, add this to your CSS:

.tumblr-link {
display: none;
}

actually, have you tried going to Settings > Sharing and played with those settings yet?

Thanks for your reply! I don’t have a premium account. I’ve gone to customize widgets and sharing. I’ve disconnected my Tumblr account but the icon still shows in my footer. I don’t know how to delete the icon now, unless I have to wait a little bit for it to delete. I can’t even figure out how I added those accounts to my footer in the first place haha

You’ll want to drag the tumblr button out of the “Enabled Services” area.

I’m not looking to delete the Tumblr sharing button. If you go onto my blog, my footer has a Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr account on the bottom right. I’ve disconnected my Tumblr so if you click on it, nothing will show up but I’m wanting to delete that Tumblr icon. I don’t know if that’s possible or if I just have to wait for it to delete from my blog.

Go to Appearance > Customize > Connect

Okay, I’ve done that so now I only have my Facebook and Twitter connected. I’m guessing that now I just have to wait for the icon to delete? I’ll wait a bit and see what happens. Thanks for your help!!

When I did it on my site, the icon disappeared right away

Something is wrong then. I also tried reconnecting my Tumblr then deleting it and the icon is still there. I’m not sure what else I can do.

I reconnected my Tumblr then deleted it through the Appearance > Customize > Connect, saved and published it! It’s now deleted. Thank you SO much!!
