Deleting my account

    There seems to be no way to delete my account because I have to ‘Manage my purchases’ first. But I have nothing to manage – just a perpetual license for one theme. How can I delete the account?

    There a bug when it comes to deleting sites with premium themes. Staff have to do the removal. I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up.     Thanks for your help timethief – quite an annoying bug that! Wasted half-an-hour going round in circles. I have now deleted all the content and made the site private – hopefully the Moderators will see we don’t want it and close the account without further ado.

    Also it would engineer great happiness if we could have a permanent redirect on the URL? So gmmpr.wp.com goes to gingermaypr.com?

    Hi there,

    I can cancel your Portfolio theme for you, but I’ll need you to please confirm that you want to do that. Themes are bought for the lifetime of the site – they don’t need to ever be renewed – but if you cancel it and want to use it on a different site again later you’ll need to buy it again.

    If you want to redirect traffic from your WordPress.com site to a different site you must not delete the WordPress.com site. To redirect traffic the WordPress.com site needs to exist, and you will need to buy the Site Redirect upgrade that costs $13 a year for that site.

    I can confirm that we want to cancel the Portfolio Theme – please do so.

    Done. You should now be able to delete that site, but only do that if you no longer want to redirect traffic to a different site.
