Deleting blogs
-
Hi there.
I am a little confused. I am trying to tidy up my blogs and get rid of a couple that I no longer use. My site ‘Storycafenortheast’ was the first site I used many years ago. I have no further use for that and I am happy to let it go. However, as it was my primary site, I am worried that by deleting it I will also delete all my other sites? I would like people to mainly find my most recent sites, ‘theillustratedpoint’ and ‘patrickandbridget’ before any of the others. What do you suggest? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can pick a different WordPressdotcom site to be your primary site. Go here: https://wordpress.com/me/account and use the drop down menu to select one of your other sites. Save your changes.
Just so you know, you don’t need to delete sites in order for visitors to find your most recent ones. You can have any number of dormant sites here. Only the ones you are posting on will see user engagement.
However, if you wish to delete some of your sites, you can follow the instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Please note that deleting a site not only removes the site content, but also the site address from the platform. This is permanent and cannot be reversed, not even by the person who registered the site.
If you think there is even the smallest possibility that you will wish to use that site address again someday, change your site’s visibility to Private to keep both visitors and search engines out. Here’s how you do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Let us know if you have any more questions.
