Deleting a blog without a name/password

    5+ years ago, my friends and I created a wordpress blog [redacted]. Well, we’re all adults now and we need this deleted. The problem is that I can’t find the username that I used to create the blog. It looks like all of the posts have been deleted, but our names are still tied to it through the meta data. I think I might have even left it as an admin. Is there a way to delete this blog without being an admin, and/or to find out who it made an admin in my place so that person can delete the site?

    You will need Staff help and this thread has been flagged for their attention.

    In order to help you get access to your blog Staff need one of the following things in order to correctly identify you as the blog owner:

    1. an email from the email address associated with the account or revealing what that associated email address was

    2. the wordpress.com API key for your account. This was included in your welcome email with a note to keep it safe. Please do not post the API key here.

    3. if you have purchased any upgrades for the blog a transaction number

    Thanks for your response. But please note, the blog that I am trying to access is not [redacted by staff] (WordPress made me select this as a default). I’m trying to delete a blog that I created years ago with 20+ friends, then left. None of us are sure who the admin is who can delete the blog. I’m hoping you can either tell me who the admin is so that I can contact them, or just have it deleted by wordpress. The blog is [redacted]. Thanks

    I’m sorry about that! The user/sole administrator on [redacted] is coopersmith – with the email c[…](email visible only to moderators and staff)

    There are a bunch of other users who are editors, but only the administrator can delete the blog. Let me know how it goes.
