Hi,

Deleted posts from my Jetpack-connected website (adaptnetwork.com) seem to remain visible in the WordPress.com reader.

See the “test” post as an example here: https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/59592191

I’ve checked that my site RSS feed has updated but the WordPress.com feed is not updating.

No, since we host the site on our platform, there is no sync between the site and the Reader so everything is always up to date. Your site being hosted elsewhere relies on Jetpack syncing your site to the WordPress.com Reader. Jetpack support will be able to troubleshoot this with you.
