Deleted Blog Still Exists, bogarding my domain name

I had a blog on wordpress called the happyquark and accidentally deleted it (thought I was logged into a different blog, clicked delete, confirmed it, then realized I had accidentally deleted the blog I still wanted, not the other). I had payed for the domain name http://happyquark.com and would like to be able to try to salvage the blog by linking the new blog http://thehappyquark.wordpress.com to it. Also, for some reason when I type my old domain name into my address bar, it takes me to my old blog (albeit under a different name which is one I was messing around with), even though I deleted it. How, if at all possible, can I get my domain name back?
