Delete Content/Reset Theme

    Hi,

    I am trying to restore my theme to it’s original settings. How do I do this?

    Hi there,

    There is no reset option for themes, but if you go to the Customizer you can remove any customizations like custom headers, widgets, menus and backgrounds that you’ve added, and you can set the colour scheme back to default.

    If you mean you want the theme restored to the default content like on the theme demo, I can help with that. I just need you to confirm that you understand any existing content will be permanently removed, and there will be no way to undo this action later.

    Please read my reply above. There is no reset button for customizations you made on your site.

    What exactly do you want reset? I can empty a site of all content so you can start over completely, but to do that I both need to know the site you want emptied and I need your confirmation that you understand this will be permanent with no way of getting the content back.

    There is no way to reset your site settings, account and profile settings, or any customizations you made to your theme, as I explained above.

    If an account is emptied of all content…
    1) Does this change the domain mapping if using external to WordPress domain host?
    2) Clears all content as if brand new WordPress site, thus allowing the purchased theme to be loaded like preview.

    Having created site, made some updates, then purchased and applied a theme, site does not work as theme previewed. Looking for a solution, as customization options are not helping and thinking a clean slate would be most effective.

    This does not affect any upgrades on the site. Only content, i.e. posts, pages, comments and media files, are removed, permanently.

    2) Clears all content as if brand new WordPress site, thus allowing the purchased theme to be loaded like preview.

    When I empty the content there is a setting I can activate to have your site reset with demo content for the theme, or I can just completely empty the site. However, you should note that the demo content is not available for all Premium themes.

    If you can tell me for which of your sites this is I can tell you if that option is available for your theme.
