Please note that during this 30 day window your account data persists, which means that you cannot use your account email address to sign up for a new WordPress.com account. Once the 30 days are up and your account is purged, your email will be freed to use with a new account.
So, it would be quicker to request restoration of your account, update the email to that account to a throw-away email which frees up the email you want to use, and then re-delete the account if you still do not have use for it.
Since you already closed this account, please respond to the automated email we sent you in response to the closure, and staff could help you undelete the account to retrieve the email if you want it sooner than 30 days.
