Customizer publishes don't show on website
-
I’ve deselected “Display Site Title and Tagline” and published the changes but the website still shows the Title over the main picture. Don’t want this.
Tried reloading the webpage. Still shows Title over the main picture.
I’m not using any downloaded editor. Doing it all via the browser editors.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The site https://rejectlists.wordpress.com/ has neither a site title or a tagline displayed. The words over the featured image on the front page is the page title. Hiding a page title would require CSS customization.
-
Then that’s my next question. I hunted around for the CSS and found this.
#header h1,
#header .description {
display: none;
}
But when pasting it into the editor, even under the html tab, it displays the CSS rather than doing it.
So I then hunted around for where the CSS should go. Found several posts saying that it’s “CSS to Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS”.
But haven’t been able to find where “CSS to Appearance is”. -
CSS coding is not in my toolbox. I’ll call for staff attention. Please wait for staff to respond.
-
Ok, thanks for your help thus far. I’ll make a new topic so staff don’t overlook this one.

Hi there @aaronmicalowe, you would need a plan that supports CSS:
https://wordpress.com/plansPremium offers that and many more features, so you’d be welcome to use that.
-
So, are you saying that it’s impossible to remove the page title without paying real money???
-
@aaronmicalowe Yes, given that titles are typically supposed to show up.
If you don’t like how it looks on your theme, though, you would be welcome to choose another.
Or you’d be welcome to buy an upgrade. Upgrades give you lots of features, and help cover our costs for hosting free sites, too.
-
You’re welcome to give me the money needed to buy an upgrade. It doesn’t grow on trees you know.
-
-
Even better, changed title to & nbsp; and that removes the annoying reference to “No title” in navigation menu.
-
@aaronmicalowe Bear in mind that can mess with your SEO. Whatever works for you, though. I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
