There are the pages and below that are categories. It is the categories that I want to customize.

There are other threads on this theme Enterprise in the Themes Forum. The answer to your question is you can’t. According to ThemeShaper (Staff)Enterprise shows the 10 most-used categories in the second level of the menu area (sub categories being shown in the drop down menu).

Thanks timethief. I tried searching but wasn’t able to find anything. I appreciate your help!

No problem. Here’s a tip. When you see the front page of the forum look in the left hand sidebar at the different forums listed and click the link for any one of them. It’s a simple “filter”. If you want to start a thread in a specific forum do the same and start one after you click in.
G’night :) -
You can create the drop down option on Categories by using the Custom Menu. I suggest you setup your Header Categories all in Caps and then your sub-categories in Caps and lower case (makes it easier to see when building your menu).
The under Appearance > Menus create two menus, attach the Category menu as the Secondary Menu then as you add the components to the menu you can move the menu items to the right (under their headers) to create a parent, child, child structure.
You will just need to revise this menu whenever you add a new category.

That’s correct. Custom menus were introduced on May 29th, 2010 (after I commented above). The custom menu feature applies to Twenty Ten, Structure, Vostok, Bueno, Enterprise, Notepad and now Vigilance. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/05/29/new-custom-menus-feature-and-a-few-others/ and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#multiple-menus
