Custom menu tab colors in Twenty Ten
-
I am a super newbie to CSS and really can’t figure this one out…
I am trying to change the rollover color on the menu tabs in the Twenty Ten theme. I have three tabs and would like a different rollover color for each.
Can anyone help?

I think this can be done with 2010, but I can’t make it work. Hopefully hallluke will see this thread and respond. If anyone can do it, he can.

This should do the trick:
#access #menu-menu a:hover {background: COLOR-YOU-WANT !important;}
-
This will for sure:
#access #menu-item-105 a:hover {background-color:#f00;} #access #menu-item-593 a:hover {background-color:#0f0;} #access #menu-item-557 a:hover {background-color:#00f;}

Wasn’t a lousy solution, it is the first one I came up with too then read closer. I almost came up with your solution, but I made it too complicated. I over engineered it.

Hello,
I currently use TwentyTen theme, and say that I have a menu with two blocks named block1 and block2. When I point on block2, a submenu appears with 2 pages, named page1 and page2.
If I click on page2, I open the page named page2 and I have the content I wished. BUT I would like the background of “block2” to be changed to a different color so that the reader knows that he is in block2…
I tried many things with the #access lines in the CSS file, but I failed…Sorry for my bad english, I hope somebody will help me :-)

I see how to get the menu item number for all of the links but the Home link with firebug. Any idea how to get that?
-
What exactly are you trying to do? I’m not quite sure why you would need the menu item IDs.

Just updating this for my future reference…
To find find the menu-item# you have to view your page source and look for… id=”menu-item-xxxxx” in the code
