Create a wordpress site with menu in block ( image)

  • Hello,

I would like to create a wordpress site, whose menus would be neither vertical nor horizontal, but in the form of image blocks in a page.
For example, the home page would be called my site with 5 clickable image blocks (1st menu level).
Clicking on each block would display a page with other blocks (second menu level).

The only example I found to illustrate under wordpress, is the UK national archive homepage but it doesn’t repeat itself when you click on the “blocks” and it has a menu.
    https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

I don’t have the right vocabulary to formulate my question, but I hope I’m understandable…

  • Hi,

    WordPress.com doesn’t have a menu block.

However, themes such as Hever, Morden, and Exford each have button blocks inside cover blocks at the top of the static homepage’s of their demos. The fact that it’s possible to insert a button block inside of a cover block, suggests that adding a row, or rows, of button blocks arranged within one or more columns blocks should also be possible. However, I haven’t tried to do so, and don’t have the relevant instructions for completing such a task.
