  My website is going to need a place where my customers can book and pay to stay in my cottage – is this available through WordPress.com ?

  Im new to this and want to begin a website that promotes my self catering accommodation business – I would like customers to be able to make booking online and pay via the website – is this possible please ?

  I’m not sure it’s possible to have an actual booking engine on a WordPress.com site. At the very least, you’d have to upgrade to a business account (https://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/ ) but you should ask if that would allow for room booking before you decide to upgrade.

  There is a special signup page just for hotels and innkeepers using WordPress.com and it looks like that gives you a reservation widget you can use (https://en.wordpress.com/hotels/). There’s also a great theme for innkeepers (https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/stay/).
