Controlling the number of posts for my podcast feed

  • Hello!

I have a blog that’s a mixture of posts and podcasts, and I have an RSS feed for the podcasts (http://feeds.feedburner.com/101videogames) that’s linked to the ‘Podcast’ category on my blog (http://101videogames.wordpress.com/category/podcast/).

My problem how to make sure all of the podcasts are displayed on the podcast page without constantly increasing the number of posts that are displayed on the homepage. I’ll explain – originally we had a limit of 10 posts displayed per page, but now that we have 18 podcasts, I’ve had to increase the number of posts displayed per page to ensure that all of the podcasts on the podcast category page (http://101videogames.wordpress.com/category/podcast/) are picked up by the RSS feed. However, by increasing the number of posts shown per page, we now have a homepage that takes ages to load because it has to display 18 (fairly image-heavy) posts.

So my question is this: how can I increase the number of posts shown on the podcast page (http://101videogames.wordpress.com/category/podcast/) without having to increase the number shown on the homepage? I’ve thought about just having a static page on the homepage, but we’d really like to have our latest few posts up there.

Any help will be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Lewis

  • There are no RSS feeds to static pages. The only way we can control the number of posts displayed in our blog’s RSS feed is here > Settings > Reading.
