Connecting an existing site

  • Hello!

I tried to look through your site and it confuses me a lot about how I could add my current blog that I’ve had since 2007 to my wordpress.com account.

All I find seems to be physically migrating my site which makes me very frustrated. I own my own domain (https://herid.nianze.com) and have a wordpress blog there. The only thing I want to do is to add it here to my account as one of my blogs so I can see more stats and just keep it gathered in one place without needing the hassle to move and move it back or whatnot.

So how do I connect an already functioning wordpress blog that I’ve self-hosted on my server so I can tie it to my account?

    Best regards,
    Oskar Vikström

  • Hi Oskar, you have a few options really. You can actually migrate the site to our hosting:
    https://transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/

Or, if you just wanted to see stats and what not and use our interface to manage it with your other blogs, you can use Jetpack:
    https://Jetpack.com

If you host here, we include SSL, security, maintenance, and support. And Jetpack has its own features depending on whether you use a free plan or one of the paid options. Both will allow you to manage the site here.

    Does that help?
