    When I try to log on, I get a message about a critical failure: There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’ I have tried to fix this, but my website has completely disappeared so I cannot, for example, undo themes, as suggested. I need human help.

    Hey there!

    Have you recently added any new plugins? It sounds like one of them may be the cause of the site’s error. If you’re still able to access your dashboard, I would recommend deactivating any recently added plugins and seeing if that fixes the problem. Assuming you are able to still able to access the dashboard, go to the installed plugins page. From there, work backwards by deactivating each plugin one by one starting with the most recent. After each deactivation, check and see if the critical error is still showing on the site.

    If you have recently changed your theme, that could have caused an issue as well. You can try temporarily switching your theme from your Appearance > Themes tab.

    If you’re unable to access your site’s actual dashboard though, you’ll need to reach out to WordPress.com’s support.
