Classic Editor

  • Ok, I want the classic editor AND the old wp-admin back as well.

I’m not against updates and a bit of a learning curve IF THEY PROVIDE A BETTER USER EXPERIENCE! Your latest updates clearly don’t.

Heck, I even had to use a second browser, where I wasn’t logged-in, to find the forums! Thats ridiculous…

I’m glad I didn’t do a paid upgrade recently, since unfortunately it seems I have to look for a new platform for my blogs. The current state is not usable.

  • Hi @marcschlueter you can enable access to wp-admin by going here: https://wordpress.com/me/account

Once you are on that page, look for the “Dashboard appearance” option shown here, and turn it on:

What this will do is load the wp-admin page instead of the WordPress.com (Calypso) interface where possible. So for example clicking on the All Posts option will load the wp-admin posts view when the advanced dashboard setting is turned on.

From the wp-admin posts view, it is possible to create (or edit) a post in either the block editor or classic editor based on your preference.
