Changing widget layout for Categories & Popular posts, Latest posts, and Tags
-
Happy Holidays!
I’d posted this in the Support forum, I think, and was advised to re-post here.
I like the layout of the Categories widget on http://girllostinthecity.com/. How can I re-format that widget for my blog?
Also, right above it, she has her Popular posts, Latest posts, and Tags in one widget. I’d like to showcase that info in a similar format on my blog. How can I do so?
My blog has a Custom Design upgrade.
Appreciate your assistance.

That site is NOT hosted by wordpress.COM and our support docs do not apply to it so be clear on that. We cannot help you as we do not provide support for any blogs that are not hosted by WordPress.COM.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

Oh RATS! I was was wrong and I apologize. http://nadinetomlinson.com/ is hoisted by WordPress.COM. Please be patient while waiting for another Volunteer or Staff to help you.

Happy Holidays!
Oh, I thought you meant that http://girllostinthecity.com was a WordPress.ORG site. I hope it’s a .COM site. I’ll wait for someone to assist me. Thanks!

Hi @thegirlunscripted, change your categories widget back to a standard display (rather than the pulldown) and add the following CSS.
#categories-3 li { display: inline-block; text-align: center; width: 125px; } -
Thanks, @thesacredpath. Is there any way to get it looking like hers, in two columns?
The second part of my question (above) refers to her Popular, Latest, and Tags widget. May I get the CSS for that as well?

Due to the way we have to implement this, the categories widget will show in two columns as long as the browser window is wide enough. Adelle is a responsive width theme, as is the one on the site you reference. If you visit her site and narrow down the browser window, there is a point where hers goes to a single column also – at about 790px wide. Yours goes to a single column at about 1064px wide.
The popular, latest and tags widget is a special widget included with the theme she is using. The only theme I remember here with that tabbed style widget was Bueno, and it has been retired. This isn’t something that can be done with CSS.
