Changing DNS
-
Hi! I have a blog on WordPress (precife.wordpress.com) and am trying to use a domain that I purchased (at UOLHost domains register). However, I do not succeed, because when I try to put that domain on WordPress, I get the following message:
“Currently the nameservers for this domain Appear to be:
NS1.DOMINIOS.UOL.COM.BR
NS2.DOMINIOS.UOL.COM.BR
NS3.DOMINIOS.UOL.COM.BRUsing the tool provided by your DNS service domains (domain registrar), remove any add nameservers and the nameservers below:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMThen come back and try again”
I tried all ways to perform the procedure above, (to change the DNS authority on UOLHost website), but the response I get is that the DNS can not be changed without creating a DNS zone on WordPress for the domain.
I would appreciate if you could help me. I’ve read all sorts of FAQ, but could not solve the problem.

Howdy,
I’ve added a zone record for that domain, so you should now be able to change your name servers to:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comhttp://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

Well… I’m in trouble again.
As you can see in this image, I set the WordPress domain as the main domain, and the purchased domain as a redirector to the blog. However, when I try to access my blog, it is redirected to the purchased domain (.com.br), when the opposite should be happening. Did I do something wrong?
PS: sorry for my english.

Update: the WordPress domain isn’t redirecting to the purchased domain anymore, but the purchased domain isn’t redirecting to the WordPress domain =(

Hi there,
Please make sure your domain, projetorecife.com.br, is set as the primary domain at Store -> Domains.
Keep in mind that domain changes can take a little while to take full effect, so these issues should resolve themselves.
