    hi there,

We have installed the wp theme of our choice directly from computer on our registered domain.
However, a ‘standard blog template’ shows up.

We also made an account on wordpress.com.
Login through the ‘standard blog template’ does not work.

    What steps to make now?
How to match the accounts in order to make changes?

    Thanks in advance.

    Karin & Alex

    Hi Karin & Alex,

It sounds like you are trying to use WordPress.com to make changes to a site you’re hosting with another company.

If that’s what you want to do, you’ll need to install the Jetpack plugin on your other site, and connect it to your WordPress.com account by following the prompts on the screen.

If you get stuck, you can connect with Jetpack support for assistance.

Once you’ve activated Jetpack and connected it to your WordPress.com account, you will be able to edit the other site through WordPress.com.

If you’re not able to log into your other site at all, you will need to try resetting your password there, or contact your web host for assistance.
