    Hi,

My client has a blog e.g. myoldblog.wordpress.com. He bought a new domain (e.g. chilli.com) from wordpress.com and mistakenly created a new blog mychilli.wordpress.com and pointed this blog to chilli.com.
Now mychilli.wordpress.com is pointing to chilli.com and all admin dashboard etc when creating pages use chilli.com as permalinks.

How can myoldblog.wordpress.com be pointed to chilli.com and remove the link between the other two? Without paying more…

All three domains/subdomains are under wordpress.com “ownership”.

    Thanks
    /iffi

May we please have the actual WordPress.COM username of the client and all of the actual URLs?

I am really sorry, I cannot write actual addresses for privacy reasons.

Could you please advise anything otherwise.

    Thanks
    /Iffi

Thanks, I had looked at it, couldn’t quite understand that
    “
Warning! Moving a domain product to a different blog will cause the domain to display content from the new blog. Do this only if you’re sure you want to display content from the blog selected below at the domain mychilli.wordpress.com.

If you’d like to move this upgrade product from one of your sites to another, please select the new site URL below. The upgrade will no longer be available from the original blog.
    “
then in dropdown it gives option of choosing “myoldblog.wordpress.com” (thats what we point from)

I am a bit nervous what does this mean ” Do this only if you’re sure you want to display content from the blog selected below at the domain mychilli.wordpress.com”

I cannot work with anyone who is not the actual owner of the blog in question and who provides the username and the actual URLs. That is why I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Ok one general question though if you can answer:

Can transfer product (Transfer to another site – as described above in the posts) be undone?

    Hi there,

If you want to move the custom domain from one site to another, the transfer steps mentioned above are the correct way to do it. If the result isn’t what you want, you can use the same steps to move the custom domain back to the other site afterwards (to undo it).

You are also welcome to contact us directly from the user account that owns the domain, and we can help you move it to the correct site. :)
