    Is there a way to change the pique theme’s background color in posts to solid black? Currently, i tried doing so but there is some sort of mask or something in there which makes the background in the post kinda grey instead of black.

    The blog I need help with is vesperlxd.com.

    Hello @damshooter

    With most themes there are a few color options that you can choose from when in the customizer. If you want a broader range of options you might consider purchasing a plan that includes custom design, as this will give you the most variety of choices.

    I went to https://wordpress.com/themes/pique/ and noted that your theme does support custom backgrounds. https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-backgrounds/

    Hi there, add the following to your custom CSS to get the background black for the content area.

    .site {
    	background-color: #000;
    }

    Hi thesacredpath, thanks for the code, it worked :D

    however, is there a way to change the child comments to the same color? https://vesperlxd.com/2016/11/16/chapter-1-miserable-otaku/

    Super, for the comments, see if this gets you what you are looking for.

    .comments-area .children {
    	background-color: #2e2e2e;
    }

    Hi thesacredpath,
    tried the code, but my comments background color still remained the same

    Are you talking about ‘your’ comments? Typically most themes will differentiate the author’s comments from the others. If you wish to remove the colored background from the author comments, then you would use this.

    .comments-area .bypostauthor {
    	background-color: #2e2e2e;
    }
