Change a page to an external link
-
Yes, this is a wordpress.COM blog. The link is http://naturallycurvy.wordpress.com.
I would like to share my Shared Items through Google Reader with the readers of my blog. However, I do not want to put the RSS feed of the Shared Items into a widget on one of the sidebars. Instead I would like to have one of the links at the top of the page, where “page” links such as “about me” and “this crap is not my crap” are shown, open my Shared Items website which Google Reader provides. Is there a way to do this?
If not, my husband has suggested just creating a page and then doing my explanation and providing a link, which I could do, yet I would like something which displays the content without people having to click several different things. I tried to insert a widget provided by Google Reader, but it was javascript and wordpress doesn’t allow that to be embedded in pages. Anyone have any other suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just create a page and put a link to the webpage in its title box. If you don’t know how to do links in html, the model is this:
<a href="URL_HERE" target="_blank">NAME_HERE</a>
Note that the trick will only work if the name includes a space, so a single word won’t do: two words, or a word plus a space. -

Hello1
I tried it exactly as it is described here.
Now a strange thing happened to my “external link”
I wanted to put a link to my another blog in my current “nepalilaghukathaa.wordpress.com” blog and I followed the instructions, but now the link is somehow broken into ‘two tabs’. If you click on the upper part of the tab it will lead you to the internal link of WordPress page itself and if you click in the lower part of the same tab it will take you to external page.
Any clue??
Regards!
P.S. the link Title is also not visible now.

There are several themes that this trick will not work on, or where it doesn’t display correctly.
Since your username is linked to a blogspot blog, and you did not provide a link to your wordpress.COM blog, we have no way of looking to tell you if that is the case with your blog or not.

My Mistake….!
Well, I am having the problem in my wordpress blog that is:
http://laghukathaa.wordpress.com/
Currently I am using “Digg 3 Column” theme. So does that mean I need to revert my template to the WordPress default one?
If you ever visit my blog, please be informed that the second page tab, there is broken. And if you click on the upper part of the tab it will lead you to the internal link of WordPress page itself and if you click in the lower part of the same tab it will take you to external page.
Thanking you in advance
Regards!

The blog linked to your name is not a WordPress.com blog. Our software is different so we can’t help you. For example, we can only access limited themes, and revolution 2 is not one of them.
