  How do I delete a category?

  The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

  http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  * You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.

  1. To edit or delete a category assigned to a post (whether it’s a draft or has already been published), go to Dashboard → Posts → All Posts in your dashboard, hover over the title and click the Edit link. To delete the post click the Trash link.

  For editing post in the new editor see https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#go-back-and-edit-posts

  2. To edit/delete categories in your dashboard go to Dashboard → Posts → Categories

  3. To edit or delete dynamic category pages from your custom menu go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus

  Thank you! That worked – I also found this about accessing the dashboard (which isn’t the easiest thing to find).

  “You can get to this dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin)”
