Categories to tag converter

  Hello,

  will the categories themselves disappear after i use the converter, or both the tag and the categories now co-exist ? if the first case is true, is there any way for me to keep the categories ? i would probably delete them in a latter time, but prefer to have the freedom to maybe manipulate them before doing that.

  The way the converter works it it deletes the category and makes them a new tag. Posts in that category will be moved to the default category. The only other thing you could do is put each of the posts in that category that you want converted in another category as well so each post has 2 categories and then you convert one of them so they only have the new category you created.

  too bad. this means i’ll have to re-consider this approach. manually assigning them to a temp cat. would be a pain.
