Categories Not Displaying on BLog

Add topic to favorites
I’ve added three additional categories to my blog, but they do not appear in the top menu or in the category list. According to my dashboard, the categories exist. When I try to post to a new category, nothing happens. I guess I’m missing a step (or two). Please help!

Hi Mike. Have you assigned any categories to your posts yet? Categories won’t show unless they contain at least one post.

Or you’re also having trouble assigning categories to posts?

Thanks … that makes sense, but I guess I’m still having
issues. I created a new post, assigned one of the categories
that isn’t currently being displayed on the blog, but I
cannot get the post out of DRAFT status. Shouldn’t I be seeing
a PUBLISH button? It’s not appearing. This is weird because
I was able to post with no problem to the first category that
I used ….. ML

Thanks for your help !!! Figured out my issue with posting, so
I’m now seeing my new categories listed. You were right, needed
an initial post to see category. Thanks again!
