Categories link to wrong global tag

Add topic to favorites
I recently edited some of my category titles (eg. Random-things to Stuff, etc) and the changes have been reflected on my blog.

However, the global tags still link to the old category titles, not the new. I.e. when I click Stuff, I’m shown posts that are tagged Random-things.

What’s going on?

Looks like you only edited the Category name. You have to edit the category slug as well.

Er, how would I do that? I can’t seem to find the field to edit the category slug. ^^U

Mike – the method you posted works beautifully on a non wp.com blog.

I just looked at my dashboard and there’s no option to change the slug for a category like there is for a post…

It used to be there because I had to change a few. Strange….

Sorry about that.

Normally I would suggest going through and removing the category selections from your posts, deleteing the old categories, creating new ones from scratch, and then reassigning them but that would be a royal pain. I *think* that here it’s tied to the category ID number instead of the category name.

Go ahead and submit a feedback or contact them directly and ask them if they can look into this.
