Can't find "Reading Settings"?

  • Hello all, I’m new to WordPress (first day) and had a question. I want to change one of my pages from a static page to a blog page and understand this is done through the Reading section of the admin settings. Currently, I’m unable to find the Reading settings. All that is displayed is General, Writing, Discussions, and Traffic. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi,

At the top of the Reading Settings support page, you’ll find the following:

Note: The instructions from this guide are referring to the WP Admin dashboard. You can get to this dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s url (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin)

Reading Settings won’t be found at My Site(s) > Settings, because the WP Admin dashboard isn’t part of the My Site interface. It’s an older dashboard that works independently of the newer My Site dashboard.

Here’s your WP Admin dashboard: https://pathtousna.wordpress.com/wp-admin/. Reading Settings is found via the admin panel at the left side of the page under Settings > Reading.
