Can't add URL to the Reader

Just created a new wp.com site. Added the ‘blogs i follow’ widget. Was not able to add my own (wp.org) website in the reader–but was able to add others. My wp.org site is http://diannethornton.com. When I type that, I get ‘Sorry, we couldn’t find a feed for …’ But my feed exists. I’ve spoken with my host and everything is set up correctly with them. NOTE, less than a year ago I moved my wp.com to siteground. Does it have anything to do with my old wp.com domain name?

We don not add any URLs to the widget. We add them here https://wordpress.com/following/edit Have you done that?

The blogs I follow widget automatically reflects your activity. You cannot add sites to it. Please read https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blogs-i-follow-widget/

Yes … I was trying to add my (wp.org) blog to the “Follow” area of this new wp.com site … so it would show up in the “blogs I follow” list.

Not sure why this isn’t working … I ended up just making a text widget to display the data.

Yes, Darnell. I had to create a feed using Feedburner. That’s the address I used. It still doesn’t recognize the plain url. Would love for it to work, but I have a work-around.
