Can’t add card

Add topic to favorites
Every time I try to add a card on this page (https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/add-credit-card) I get the following error message: ‘There was a problem with your credit card. Please check your information and try again’ I have tried different cards. Any reason this happening? Thank you!

Hi @jswegarden, I don’t see anything on this end. You mentioned you tried different cards — would you be willing to try a different browser / connection to see if that will help?

Thanks for the reply. I have tried Edge and Firefox with the same issue. The response header is 200 which looks correct, but unable to add my card. Are there requirements to add a card that I’m not aware of?

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

If it is, please do these two things:

1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Still no difference. I am currently unable to create shipping labels due to this error. Is there a tutorial/guide I can look at to make sure I’m following every step correctly?

The attempt is being blocked even before it reaches our payment provider, so it’s possible that your credit card provider is declining it.

Would you please ask your credit card provider about this?
