Cannot remove defunct linked blog or main WordPress blog

I host my own blogs so I do need a WordPress.com username, but no blog associated with it. There’s no option to disable or delete umkcddr.WordPress.com.
I am also wondering why I can’t just remove it or the linked blog, kevin.umkcddr.com bc it has been defunct for a few years now.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

While logged into wordpress.COM account, go to http://umkcddr.wordpress.com/wp-admin and in the left hand navigation go to settings > delete blog.

No, just the blog. Your username and the account associated with it will live on forever.
