Can WordPress delete my domain so I can replace it with a new one?

My domain, out-of-context.net, was registered through WordPress.com, but expired back in January. Instead of renewing through WordPress, I just purchased it from Mighty Great Domains.
I’d like to delete the out-of-context.net that’s in my account currently to replace it with the new out-of-context.net that’s hosted with Mighty Great Domains.

Oh. Hm. I thought this message was going directly to the support team, not the public forums.
Any chance a support team member can take care of deleting my domain so I can add it back in from the new host?

Just out of curiosity, why is there no option to contact support directly on this site? I went around in circles for the last half hour looking for a support contact link that wouldn’t lead me back to posting on the forums.
Having forums as the only support option is a frustrating experience! Is there any way at all to directly get in touch with support? If there is, I can’t find it. I’m stuck in an infinite forum loop!

There is no direct means of contacting Staff when they choose to disable the contact link at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ on weekends and when they have backlogs. When they do that there is a crazymaking loopback to the peer support experience for those trying to reach them.
This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver WordPress.com support. There is no phone support here and we Volunteers do not provide support by email. Volunteers answer most questions posted into forum threads and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention. I have done that and all that’s required now is your patience.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I didn’t know support contact was closed on weekends. That would have saved me a lot of stressing! :P

They are closed per se as there are always Staff working in the background but most are in the US. http://en.support.wordpress.com/support-options/#support-hours

Hi averne86, sorry about that! Usually expired domains are removed automatically from accounts, but for some reason your domain was still listed in your account. I removed it for you, so you can now use the domain with your blog by following this guide: Map an Existing Domain
