Can I post Unity Games in WP Blog?

    I’d like to post a Unity4 webplayer game I’ve been working on on my blog. I’ve hosted the game on dropbox, but when I paste the html Unity provides for its web player, it does not preview properly, and a bunch of the code disappears from the editor (I’m guessing because it contains CSS and JavaScript?).

    Tutorials online tell me to use a custom Unity Plugin for WordPress (an alternate suggestion was the iFrame plugin). All of these tutorials begin with “Install the plugin by using Plugins>Add,” but the “Plugins” option is not present on my Dashboard. I think the crucial difference here is that I’m hosted through WordPress.com and therefor don’t use FTP servers to manage my blog’s content.

    Is there a solution for this problem that you can help me find?

    Unfortunately, we cannot offer a way to embed Unity at this time, as we cannot allow Javascript for security reasons.

    That’s disappointing :(

    If my site was handled through WordPress.org would I be able to do it? If so, is there a way to migrate my site over there?

    Yes, you could do that with a self-hosted WordPress.org blog.

    If you’re interested, we do offer an upgrade called Guided Transfer (available in the Store section of your blog’s Dashboard) where we take care of everything for you: http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/

    Otherwise, you’ll need to install WordPress from http://wordpress.org/ on a hosting provider. We have some recommendations at http://get.wp.com/hosting/

    Then, direct your domain to your hosting provider by changing your domain’s name servers: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/
