Buttons to filter products on shop page

  • Hi All

Real novice here. I have a products page on my site and i would like to have 2 images/buttons that filter the products viewed. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • This is the page. The two images i would like to be the filter options. https://darkgrail.com/shop/

  • I did not see product categories added to your product, but WooCommerce can use those to provide a view of your store that shows only the products under a specific category, excluding items that do not belong. More info here: https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/

There is not a specific solution I can think of for active filtering of the main store page, but I see you have added two images for your basic product categories. Once you add those categories in Woo, you will be able to link those images to the “Category page” for those products.

This method will not result in a slick filtering animation or anything like that, but it will be much faster, and something you can do right now. That way, if someone clicks on the image for “Fine Art Prints” they will instead be taken to a page (that Woo creates automatically anytime you add product categories) that shows the only those prints, while other visitors are free to scroll down to see all products mingled together as they are now.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

  • Thank you so much for your help. That solution sounds perfect and apologies for the late response it really is appreciated.
