  I just started my WordPress site and I want to work on it (theme, set-up, content) without publishing anything. How can I work on the site without actually going live until I’m ready?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  I’m doing exactly the same thing, my site is private for now ;-) To do so, you need to change Privacy Settings, you can find the instruction for it here:

  Hello,

  In your Privacy Settings, there is an option to make your site private — meaning it will only be visible to you and users you approve.

  To edit this setting go to My Site → Settings and look for Privacy. Select Private and click the Save Settings button.

  When you have set everything up and are ready for people to view your site, mark it as Public.
