Blog post appearing as a separate page not on the blog page
-
Hi I created a blog using the add button on the blog post. The post is there but does not come up on the blog page but as a separate page
I thought it would automatically show up here https://zerowastevillage.com/blog/
but instead is showing here
https://zerowastevillage.com/2016/11/09/looking-forward-to-our-re-launch-celebrating-progress-and-getting-back-into-action/under recent posts.
Any ideas how I can get the blog posts to automatically go to the /blog rather than wher it is now, or ideally to bith places
Is this to do with the particular theme I have chosen?
thanks very much
eva
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Okay, you appear to have made “blog” a page. That’s okay though.
First thing first is go to zerowastevillage.wordpress.com/wp-admin.
Hover over “appearance” then click “customise”.
Click “static front page” then click “a static page”.
Set your posts page to “blog”. If you want your blog to be your home page, you can change that too. This will automatically fix the issue.

This is a one or the other situation. You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page. By default that is the URL of the site.(2) A static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page.
By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. Create your pages first
Front page:
Posts page:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/After you do that you go to > Dashboard > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/A static page (select below)
Front page:
Posts page: -
Thanks @torres126 and @timethief
@zerowastevillage , I’ve confirmed you do not have a posts page set currently. Here’s another simple way to do it:
– Head to My Site > Customize > Front Page
– Select “Blog” as your posts page
– Save your changes :)
