Blog menu??

I’m trying to figure out how to access my blog from the home (or about page). I would like to have a menu (if possible) for people to look at and choose what the would like to view. I’m getting the blog pages set-up ok, just having issue going to them.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I see you’re using the publication theme on your blog. And I checked the theme demo here –
https://publicationdemo.wordpress.com/The theme supports a menu but it’s hidden initially and you have to click on that square icon with three horizontal lines to open the sidebar containing the menu.
You can add menu items to the blog by following these instructions –

It doesn’t let the names of the menu items show, it just shows the wordpress logo. Should I use a different theme?I don’t want the menu to be hidden. I would like whatever my blogs are to be shown.(should do them as pages instead of blogs?)

Oh! It’s because the links have been added to the social links menu. If you go to this page –
https://wordpress.com/menusYou can see two boxes. Something like Box1 uses Box2.
Now notice the first box has some text like “2 menu areas on this site”
If it’s set to Social Links, change it to primary and then add menu items. That should do the job.
I’ve tried to keep the instructions simple but if you need assistance, let me know and I’ll tag this thread for staff assistance.

If you don’t want the menu to be hidden, then I’m afraid you’ll have to choose another theme –

I am messed up. I try to use the primary menu (first box) but it just keeps adding them in the second box. it now shows 6 menus available,,,, Is there a way to reset the entire menu back to original and start over?

Oh! I’m afraid it’s not possible to reset using a switch or a button but I’ll mark this thread with modlook and someone from the staff will assist you.
So don’t worry. Once they respond, just describe what you’re trying to do and they’ll do it for you :)

I see this has been tagged for staff, but it looks like you figured it out. Let me know if you still need any help.
For the record, if you create new menus by mistake, you just edit them to delete them again. There’s no special tool that we can use on our end to reset things back to default.

Yes- I did figure it out eventually. Took a while, but up & running now. Thanks for looking in on me, I appreciate the help!!
