  Here you can find info on how to register a domain name through WordPress:

  You will need to have an active plan on your site in order to register a domain and you can find more info related to plans here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/

  Alternatively you could also register a domain through another domain registrar like GoDaddy and transfer or map it to WordPress servers: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#add-a-domain-name

  ohaidizmahblog – wanted to say hi and thanks for helping us out. I like how you presented all the different options to the user here. Just remember that sometimes, “less is more”, and we don’t want to confuse anyone. Domains can get complicated especially if you have your registration somewhere else.

  The best response in this situation is to tell the user they need to add the personal plan (unless they want to use a .blog) to their account. Then click on My Sites – Tools – Domains – Add to register it. Remind folks that the plan is refundable for 30 days and they can upgrade for additional features at any time. The plan also includes their domain, hosting, and access to our support team.
