Blank pages
-
Hi,
I have just started using wordpress and I am confused as to what is happening. I have published two pages and linked them to the top, however when I go to those pages though the links, it always opens blank pages, the link I have added is https://wordpress.com/page/sanchitbhan.wordpress.com/53 however on opening the page I am redirected to this page which is blank https://sanchitbhan.wordpress.com/resume/. Can someone please explain to me what is going on?

Hello there @sanchitbhanos!
Thank you for reaching out about this!
For adding those pages to your menu, you can select them directly, when adding them in via the Navigation Block.
To clarify about the page URLs you mentioned, this is the URL for the page only when you’re editing it: https://wordpress.com/page/sanchitbhan.wordpress.com/53 and only logged-in administrators to your site will see this page.
This URL is the public URL for that page: https://sanchitbhan.wordpress.com/resume/ and this is available publicly.
At present, the links to those pages are added to your homepage template, the ‘Index’ template, at Appearance → Editor (the Site Editor for your site’s theme), in a Navigation Block.I’ll share some articles below, which guide on how to navigate to those areas within your WordPress.com dashboard, view all Blocks in a Template fully, and then, how to edit the links in your ‘Navigation Block’.

I’ll also advise that you create a Header Template part for the Header, which contains your ‘Site Logo’, ‘Site Title’ and ‘Navigation’ Blocks.
https://wordpress.com/support/site-editor/customize-your-header/By creating a Header Template Part, to include your menu, logo and site title, you will be able to place this in many areas of your site, by adding it to all of your Templates.
I hope this has been helpful, but feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
