Baskerville 2 full-width on Posts pages

  • I’m using the Baskerville 2 theme. Is there a way to get full-page width on the individual Posts pages? What I want is the sidebar to not be there on any of the Posts pages so that I can have the whole screen for content and images. I’ve tried three different plugins, and the results are awful.

  • Hi there!

Since you have a Business plan, could you reach out to our priority email/live chat support and they can help by accessing your site’s backend and better advise on how to get things working the way you’d like?

You can reach them here: https://wordpress.com/help/contact

    Thanks!

  • @dianajenna,

Hi. Since the Widget Areas section of the Baskerville 2 overview indicates that the optional Sidebar widget area “appears on the right in single posts and pages using the default template,” and the site http://randymeisnerheartsonfire.com/ doesn’t presently display widgets on any of the single posts that I’ve checked, or pages either, it appears to me that the solution in this case might have involved simply leaving the sidebar widget area empty. Is that the case?

This information might be helpful to others wishing to obtain the same result on Baskerville 2.

  • I should have mentioned that my tests indicate that, on Baskerville 2, if you leave the Sidebar Widget Area empty, single posts will automatically display at full-width.
